Motorola Backflip with MotoBlur Cell Phone Review

AT&T’s first Android smartphone, the Motorola Backflip, is unlike other Android cell phones currently available. Yes, it runs the Google Android 1.5 operating system and has WiFi like many other models, but the real difference is the cell phone’s overall design. The QWERTY keypad does double duty as a stand and there’s a touchpad on the back of the display for navigating through menus and web pages. The Backflip literally lives up to its name and its design differences will either wow you or give you pause.

Pantech Razzle Cell Phone Review

The Verizon Razzle, a cell phone that sets itself apart and not just with its name. The QWERTY keyboard found at the base of the cell phone twists to reveal a large speaker that we must add sounds great. Therein lies what this cell phone is all about: music. However, we were disappointed to see that the Razzle doesn’t support Verizon’s VCAST service, perhaps that’s because it isn’t a 3G phone. Still, that said, if you have a tween who is getting ready for their first cell phone and has plenty of their own music they want to listen to, the Razzle could be just the right choice.

Motorola Devour Cell Phone Review

The Motorola Devour is one of the sleeker looking smartphone’s running Google’s Android OS available to date. It also happens to have one of the better screen’s seen on a cell phone. Although it’s only running Android version 1.6, it still has some nice features such as Adobe Flash Lite and Google Map’s Navigation. If staying updated on social media app is top on your list then you’ll be happy to see the inclusion of Motorola’s Motoblur. Overall, the Motorola Devour has a lot going for it and is worth a look if you’re interested in a Google cell phone that’s also heavy on style.

Palm Pre Plus Cell Phone Review

The Palm Pre Plus has a few noteworthy upgrades over its predecessor the Palm Pre. First, it doubles its storage capacity from 8GB to 16GB. That’s plenty of room for music, pictures, and applications. The QWERTY keyboard got a bit of a facelift making it easier to use. It comes with the rubberized backing instead of the plastic backing found on the original Pre. Like its predecessor, it has WiFi. However, included on the cell phone is the ability to turn the Pre Plus into a Mobile HotSpot so you can share your data connection with up to 5 WiFi-enabled devices. A pretty neat trick, but it will cost an additional $40 a month. Overall, the updates and the latest version of the Palm webOS make the Pre Plus one user-friendly smartphone.

Palm Pixi Plus Cell Phone Review

If we had one disappointment with the Palm Pixi it was that it didn’t support WiFi. Not only does the Palm Pixi Plus support WiFi it also lets you turn the cell phone into a Mobile HotSpot so that you can share your data connection with up to 5 WiFi-enabled devices. A pretty neat trick, but it will cost an additional $40 a month. It also runs Palm’s latest webOS, has an 8GB internal hard drive, and the ability to have contact information from multiple accounts appear almost seamlessy in one contact window. All and all if you’re looking for a pocket friendly smartphone that’s easy to use, the Pixi Plus is worth consideration.

Motorola Droid Cell Phone Review

The Motorola DROID has a lot to offer running the Google Android OS 2.0.1 and at the top of that list is a speedy user experience. Nothing seems to lag on this smartphone and it comes with plenty of features to keep you busy. The music player is impressive, the 5-megapixel camera has a flash and takes acceptable pictures, the Marketplace offers tons of good free applications to download, and although there is WiFi included surfing the web using the Verizon Wireless network is far from sluggish.
HTC Droid Eris Cell Phone Review

The HTC DROID Eris is one of the more attractive smartphone’s sporting the Google Android OS that we’ve seen to date. It’s thin, durable, has a bright display, and is pocket-friendly. It’s also fully loaded with a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, and finally has the HTC Sense overlay.
BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700 Cell Phone Review

The latest member of the BlackBerry Bold family the BlackBerry Bold 9700 (aka the Bold 2 or Onyx) has quite a few upgrades over its predecessor including a slimmer, lighter design. On the new Bold 9700 you’ll still find WiFi and 3G connectivity, but you’ll also find a faster processor, the latest BlackBerry OS 5.0, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a bright/sharp display. In short, there isn’t much not to like about the BlackBerry Bold 9700; it even has decent battery life.

LG Shine 2 Cell Phone Review

As cell phones sport more and more features these days, it isn’t often that a model comes along that is all about looking good, too. Case in point the LG Shine II is one of the more stylish cell phones to come along that won’t break the bank. It even has its fair share of features including Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera with a flash, MP3 player, and 3G connectivity.
BlackBerry Curve 8530 Cell Phone Review

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 has a few new design elements that set it apart from it’s siblings: namely there’s a trackpad in place of the trackball and dedicated music buttons at the top of the device for easy control over the music player. It also sports the latest BlackBerry OS and WiFi, a definite step-up over the previous Curve. Simply put the friendly icons, games, dedicated music icon, easy-to-customize web interface, and rubberized casing found on the BlackBerry Curve 8530 makes this smartphone feel more like fun than business.
LG Chocolate Touch Cell Phone Review

The latest installment in Verizon’s line of LG Chocolate music phones is by far our favorite yet. Although a touchscreen only interface isn’t particularly new this one works so well you won’t miss the tactile numeric keypad found in previous models. Thanks to Dolby Mobile the LG Chocolate Touch is truly a music phone instead of just a cell phone that can play some tunes.

Palm Pixi Cell Phone Review

The Palm Pixi sports many of the features found on its predecessor the Palm Pre including Palm’s latest webOS, 8GB internal hard drive, and access to many of Sprint’s premium services. The Palm Pixi also has an updated version of the webOS and a slightly easier to use QWERTY keyboard all in a slimmer package. The only shortcomings are that it’s not quite as speedy as the Palm Pre and it lacks WiFi.

Although the form factor and design hasn’t changed too much in this version, there are a few noteworthy upgrades: an improved touchscreen experience, the inclusion of WiFi and tons more memory both on-board and included in the box. That’s right the BlackBerry Storm2 comes with a 16GB microSD card. We are also happy to report that battery life is improved on this model as well. That said, if you haven’t used the original Storm, you should be aware that you’ll need to invest more than a couple of days to really master using the Storm2.
